The McDonald’s Stripes Run 2026, organized by RUNRIO, is back, and this year’s flagship event has received a major upgrade with the 15K Purple Stripes category!
What’s the Hype About the Purple Edition?
The Stripes Run has always been about iconic red-and-white socks and community spirit, but in 2026, there will be an exciting new category: the 15K Purple Stripes! Designed for runners progressing from 10K distances, this special purple distance adds a new challenge to the event calendar while honoring Grimace’s iconic color.
Aside from the thrill of the race, each stride you take contributes to a positive outcome. Proceeds from the McDonald’s Stripes Run benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Philippines, which funds programs such as Bahay Bulilit early childhood care centers throughout the country. Running never felt or tasted so good!
