The campus of the University of the Philippines Diliman has long been a place where bravery is developed, ideas are created, and purpose is carried out. Additionally, it became the beginning of something greater than a race last year.
In June 2025, the UP Alumni Engineers (UPAE), in collaboration with MNL City Run, sponsored the first-ever UP Fight Run: Isko Pride in Every Stride, a historic event that brought together thousands of runners who had a common goal: to run with purpose and give back.
It wasn’t simply about the kilometers covered or the finish lines crossed. It was about the impact. It was about community. It was about embracing the true meaning of being an Iskolar ng Bayan.
The event raised Php500,000.00 thanks to the combined efforts of all participants, partners, and supporters, directly supporting UPAE’s programs and the UP Engineering Student Loan Program, which assists deserving students in continuing their study despite financial constraints.
